How far from Denpasar Airport (DPS) to your hotel?

Generally the trip takes 90 minutes by private car from the airport, however this can vary depending on time of day and traffic. We also offer a helicopter transfer service from the Denpasar helipad to our private helipad which is on the property. This service takes 12 minutes in the air but can also be turned into a great tour with more than 30 mins in the air, seeing some of Bali’s most impressive volcanoes.

What is the difference between Terrace Villa and Deluxe Terrace Villa?

These villas have the same overall size and similar features however the main difference is the design in general. The Deluxe Terrace Villa has a larger infinity pool and more modern design which includes a walk-in wardrobe and ducted air-conditioning, as opposed to air-conditioning wall unit in Terrace Villas. The Deluxe Terrace villas can also be adjoined to form a 2 bedroom family villa with connecting doors on the terrace outside. We only have 4 terrace villas as opposed to 19 deluxe terrace villa.

Tell me more about the Junior Suite

The junior suites are our latest rooms (complete August 2022) of which we only have four available. These rooms are in general quite different from our pool villa offerings, but are exceptionally comfortable and large with separate bedroom, bathroom and living area. It’s very important to note that they do not have view, or private pool, but a small terrace area and private entrance. These rooms are deliberately priced according to their offering and for many are an affordable way to stay at one of the best hotels in Bali. We are situated on one of the most beautiful valleys in Ubud, which you can experience from our main pool, cascades, garden bules, but you will not be able to see this from your room. Because every other room at Viceroy Bali has a private pool, you’ll often find the pool area not that busy, so you don’t need to worry about putting your towels down at 7 am!

Are children allowed to stay in your hotel / to dine at your restaurants?

Yes, children of all ages are welcome at Viceroy Bali and also to dine at CasCades restaurant. We don’t have a dedicated kids club, and in general you’ll find guests from all walks of life, many on their honeymoon too. We can organise nannies in advance and you’ll be extremely happy to hear that our staff genuinely cherish children, many have their own.

Since Apéritif Restaurant is a fine dining degustation experience, only children over 10 years and with a sophisticated palate are permitted since we are unable to provide a dedicated children’s menu.

How much is the helicopter ride from DPS airport to Viceroy Bali?

A helicopter transfer from DPS airport to Viceroy Bali is priced approximately IDR 20,000,000 + 21 % tax and service charge per helicopter, one way with a maximum payload of 500 kg. (This rate is subject to change without prior notice). Advance booking with full prepayment is required when the reservation is made as a guarantee. We work three to four helicopter providers in Bali and have exceptionally good relationships with them. Usual operation hours are from 09.00 AM – 04.00 PM. The helicopter does not take off straight from the airport due to landing permits, so passengers are dropped to the closest helipad via a luxury vehicle which is located 15 minutes from the airport.

Do you offer complimentary amenities for honeymoon packages?

Honeymooners will receive the following extras:
– Heart shaped box of red roses on the bed upon arrival
– Honeymoon cake served in villa upon arrival
– Flower petal bath on the last night

Does Viceroy Bali offer a la carte or buffet for lunch and dinner?

Our all-day dining restaurant CasCades offers an a la carte menu for both lunch and dinner. We do not have buffets, except for special occasions like Christmas Day/ New Years Eve.

Are flower baths available at Viceroy Bali?

If you are celebrating a special occasion for example a honeymoon or wedding anniversary, we are more than happy to add some extras on a complimentary basis for your stay. Examples include:

-A heart shaped box of red roses on the bed upon arrival

-A special cake served in villa upon arrival

-A flower petal bath on your final night

Do you offer a floating breakfast?

Floating breakfast is available to in-house guests subject to an additional charge. Please get in touch with res@viceroybali.com to organise in advance and check the relevant pricing.

Does Viceroy Bali have accessible / wheelchair friendly villas?

Yes. Two Deluxe Terrace Villas are accessible, designed for wheelchair users.

They are closer to the main facilities, like CasCades Restaurant and the main pool. The resort has pathways which are designed for buggies, so it means you can access majority of the resort by paths (we are on valley though so expect slopes)

Is Room service available 24 hours?

Yes, we have room service available 24 hours a day. You’ll find the menu in your room, ranging from light snacks, to a full meal service.

How close is the main town area of Ubud?

We are located approximately 5 to 10 minutes drive to the centre of Ubud (depending on the traffic), where you’ll find many shops, restaurants, bars and the cultural highlights. The hotel itself feels very pretty isolated in the jungle and padi rice fields, which is the magic of Ubud.

Do you provide a shuttle service into Ubud Centre?

We run a complimentary shuttle service for in-house guests which runs from 07.00 – 22.30. Before you wish to depart, we recommend informing our Reception Team at least 20 minutes in advance, so we can prepare the vehicle for you.

Local taxis are very reasonably priced and a simple way to be able to access town at your leisure.

Which villa do you recommend for a family (eg. 3 adults and 1 child (10 yrs.)

Depending on the ages of your children, we have various options available:

It’s possible to fit an extra bed in the Pool Suite, Terrace Villa and Deluxe Terrace Villas. (Please note It is not possible to fit two extra beds into these room types).

Two-bedroom options include the Vice Regal Villa which is a duplex set up, where the second bedroom is situated upstairs (via an outdoor staircase, yet still in the privacy of the villas grounds), so it’s recommended for older children/teenagers.

The Viceroy Villa has two separate bedrooms with an outdoor living room, large freeform pool and is more traditional Balinese style.
We are also able to connect two deluxe terrace villas via a private door on the terraces, again this option is ideal for families with older children.

What is the cut off age for child pricing?

Children aged from 2 years old to 11 years old will be classed as children at Viceroy Bali.

Do you have rollaway beds?

Yes, an extra bed can be setup at a cost of USD 137 net per bed per night including daily breakfast. Please let us know in advance of your arrival if this is required. Please note we can only fit one extra bed per villa.

Do you provide private transfers around the island of Bali?

Yes, we have a fleet of luxury vehicles owned and operated by Viceroy Bali which are available for transfers. Please enquire with res@viceroybali.com to confirm the pricing of your requested transfer.

What is the best way to get from Denpasar airport to the hotel?

The most convenient way to travel from the airport to Viceroy Bali is by car, which we can arrange with one of our private vehicles.

 Taxi’s from the airport are available on your arrival, but at peak periods there might be a wait and remember it’s a mixed bag on the quality of taxis.

Are Pets allowed at Viceroy Bali?

For the comfort and safety of all guests, pets are not permitted.

Does Viceroy Bali have good WiFi?

Viceroy Bali is the first hotel in Indonesia to implement the new WiFi 6 protocol, linked to a 1Gbps internet connection, meaning the WiFi is very fast and strong.

Is there a gift shop within the resort?

Yes, we have boutique in the hotel which is open daily.

Is there an option for early check-in? And if so, what is the estimated time? If early check in option is not available, what is the normal check in time?

Our check-in time is 15.00 whilst check-out is at 12.00 midday. Early check-in is subject to availability upon arrival. We do our best to accommodate early check-in requests however to ensure an early check-in, we suggest booking the night prior your arrival date.

Do you have a shared pool or are there only private pools?

Each Villa has its own private pool however we also have a main infinity pool which all guests can enjoy.

Is your breakfast a la carte?

Breakfast is primarily a comprehensive buffet, eggs are to order, and a la carte menu available on request, notably for diet requirements (e.g. gluten free, vegan).

Can I use my drone at Viceroy Bali?

The use of drones at Viceroy Bali is not permitted in order to ensure privacy to all guests.
